Changing majors

As you pursue your passion in college, you might decide that a different major would better suit your needs. Follow the instructions below to change your major.

Students who are deciding on their first major, transitioning to a new one, or are unsure about majors, degree programs, academic advising, etc., may want to check out K-State's Exploratory Studies.

If changing majors within the College of Arts and Sciences:

Email your current major advisor. Discuss your desire to change curriculum.
Email the College of Arts & Sciences Student Services Center at artsci@ksu.edu. Include the following information:

Full Name
Wildcat ID #
Changing From:
Changing To (include B.S. or B.A.)
Or Adding (include B.S. or B.A.):
Or Dropping:
Include any sub-plans / tracks you are adding, changing to, or dropping
If you have a pre-health designation, do you want to keep it, change it, or drop it

Your request must be sent from your official K-State student email.
You will receive a confirmation email from artsci@ksu.edu.

If changing TO the College of Arts and Sciences from another college at K-State:

Email your current major advisor. Discuss your desire to change curriculum.
Email the College of Arts & Sciences Student Services Center at artsci@ksu.edu. Include the following information:

Full Name
Wildcat ID #
Changing From:
Changing To (include B.S. or B.A.)
Or Adding (include B.S. or B.A.):
Or Dropping:
Include any sub-plans / tracks you are adding, changing to, or dropping
If you have a pre-health designation, do you want to keep it, change it, or drop it

Your request must be sent from your official K-State student email.
You will receive a confirmation email from artsci@ksu.edu.

If changing FROM the College of Arts & Sciences to another college or Exploratory Studies at K-State:

Email your current major advisor. Discuss your desire to change curriculum.
Email the Dean’s Office/Student Services Center in the new college. Include the following:
- - Full Name
  - Wildcat ID #
  - Changing From:
  - Changing To (include B.S. or B.A.):
  - Or Adding (include B.S. or B.A.):
  - Or Dropping:
  - Include any sub-plans/tracks you are adding, changing to, or dropping.
  - If you have a pre-health designation, do you want to keep it, change it, or drop it?

3. Your request must be sent from your official K-State student email.

4. You will receive a confirmation email from your new Dean's Office/Student Services Center.
