About Social Science at K-State

The Social Science Interdisciplinary major focuses primarily on human behavior and society at a variety of levels. K-State social science disciplines include:

  • Geography
  • Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies
  • Mass Communications
  • Political Science
  • Psychology

  • Social Work (Fall 2024 and future)

Students in the Social Science program get to customize their degree based on their particular interests and are highly encouraged to further individualize their academic plan by adding in minors, certificates, secondary majors, or even double majors in a field outside of Social Science. NOTE: This degree is not available to students earning a degree in a Social Science discipline.

A Social Science degree can lead to many types of jobs in business, health fields, non-profit organizations, education, and so many more.
