ART 105: AandD: Career and Creative Industry Seminar
Introduction to art concentrations and professions.
BIOL 100: Biology First-Year Orientation
Each meeting of Biology Freshman Seminar covers a topic related to student success, including student help sources such as tutoring and academic coaching, the Career Center, student involvement opportunities in the Division of Biology (such as research), the university, and community. In addition, students develop a graduation plan after going over degree requirements and gain competency in navigating K-State online resources.
CHM 200: Frontiers in Chemistry
An undergraduate seminar designed to introduce students to research being carried out in K-State's chemistry department and to offer perspectives on other issues of interest to chemistry majors and those considering chemistry as a major.
DAS 100, Section D: First Year Seminar in K-State Culture: Rudd Scholars
An overview of the intellectual and cultural life of the university. Students will attend a variety of events as a community and learn to reflect on and evaluate these events through writing, class discussion, and public speaking.
DAS 101: Discover, Create and Thrive: Arts and Science Orientation
Orients learners to studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, helps learners to develop skills and strategies indicative of success, map their college plan, and compare interdisciplinary ways of knowing and learning across disciplines.
MC 100: SMC Orientation
An overview of the curriculum electives, extracurricular activities in mass communications, the advising process, career options, and ways to improve student success.
MUSIC 101: A New Rhythm: Cultivating a Healthy Life in College and Beyond
Designed to empowers today’s young adults to better understand strategies and activities that support lifelong health and wellness. Resources and course curricula will address physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual (seeking one’s purpose) wellness practices.
PHYS 122: Physics Today I
The first of a two-semester study of problem solving in physics. Introductory physics problems as well as problems encountered in research will be discussed. Introductory problems will focus on mechanics and thermodynamics. Research discussions will center on topics of current interest at K-State and elsewhere.
POLSC 101: Political Science First-Year Orientation

SOCWK 141: First-Year Orientation
Orients first-year students to the social work major and on-campus resources that will enable them to be successful. Engages students in discussion groups and community engagement activities to meet social work faculty members and students within the major. Develops student relationships and practices that allow them to effectively utilize college resources and become members of a community of learners.
