SUBJECT: Dean’s Advisory Committee

I have appointed Jeffrey Pickering from Political Science and Kristin Michel from Biology to serve three-year terms on the Dean's Advisory Committee, effective immediately. The membership of the entire committee is now as follows, with terms ending in December of the year indicated.

Laura Kanost (Modern Languages) - 2026
Julie Pentz (School of Music,Theatre, and Dance) - 2027

Laura Brannon (Psychological Sciences) - 2026
Jeffrey Pickering (Political Science) - 2028

Dan Higgins (Chemistry) - 2026
Kristin Michel (Biology) - 2028

The Dean’s Advisory Committee advises the Dean on mid-tenure reviews and promotion/tenure decisions. In addition, members of this committee select the Stamey and Commerce Bank Teaching Award recipients, as well as the nominees for the Presidential Teaching and Advising Awards.
