Orientation & Enrollment

What is it?

Orientation and Enrollment (or simply O&E) is all about welcoming you to the K-State family and helping students prepare for their first semester on campus.

We in the College of Arts and Sciences love to welcome new family members at O&E and want to provide some helpful information as you prepare to arrive.

Tips

  • Plan on a full day - You will find a general itinerary below, but plan to be on campus all day.
  • Bring a sweater - Believe it or not, you may find yourself needing one. Because there are so many people in the Student Union during O&E, they keep the AC very cold. So, even though it's hot outside, everyone is cold inside. Bringing something to put on will help.
  • Bring a snack - The day can get fairly scheduled, making it hard to break away if that hungry moment hits. That's when a snack and a bottle of water can help!
  • Share your fun - This is an exciting day, so share it with your friends through social media! And, be sure to include us in your fun (@KStateArtSci).

The day is generally broken into two halves. The morning is dedicated to orientation and the afternoon is set aside for advising, enrolling in classes and exploring campus.

  • Welcome Desk - This is the first and best location for help. The Welcome Desk is located on the first floor of the K-State Student Union.
  • Dean's Office - You can always come to the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office, located in 107 Calvin Hall. We can help you get to where you need to go.
