Questions about safety? Consult with your faculty advisor/mentor. Please complete the training(s) required by your lab supervisor, and help us create and maintain a culture of safety at K-State.
Resources
- The Department of Environmental Health and Safety exists to support uninterrupted research and learning within a safe and healthy environment. Services include environmental compliance, occupational and research safety, radiation safety, hazardous materials management and response, and fire safety. - A general safety manual has been developed for the university. It can be found here: https://www.k-state.edu/safety/lab/labsafety/. There may be a more specific manual for your laboratory area; please consult your mentor/supervisor for more information.
- Available trainings can be found on the K-State Environmental Health and Safety website as well as on the K-State Human Capital Services website. Some training courses may require faculty permission.
