We need YOUR help recruiting new ArtSci Wildcats

As alumni, you remember how great it felt to be in The Little Apple, taking classes from amazing professors and connecting to other K-Staters. We want to bring more students in to have great experiences just like you did, and we want you to help us.

Even though K-State is a great place to be, our university and the College of Arts and Sciences are experiencing decreases in enrollment. We’re trying to increase our recruitment and retention efforts, because we truly believe in the value of an Arts and Sciences education. We want more students to be able to take courses from award-winning professors who are experts in their fields. We want more students to experience and benefit from undergraduate research and hands-on learning opportunities. We want more students to be a part of our family—and we want your help to make this possible.

How you can help

If you are a teacher in the state school system (or another Wildcat you know is), think about bringing your class to visit K-State! Once students have seen our beautiful campus, they’re much more likely to be interested in our university. Topics like math, English, science, history, and more are great starting points for a major in the College of Arts and Sciences! For a full listing of programs offered by our college, visit our majors and programs page. You can also invite one of our faculty members to present to your class as part of the Presidential Lecture Series. We want students to see that our campus, our faculty, and our family is really something special!

Even if you aren’t a teacher, you can still help us! If you know any students interested in attending university, tell them about your experience at K-State. A fun walk down memory lane for you can be a great recruitment tool for our college!

When encouraging students to visit K-State, or if you want to bring your class to K-State, please contact Office of Recruitment and Admissions, 785-532-6318. They will make sure that you and your student(s) get the full purple-carpet experience once you get to campus!
