Chemistry professor targets brain cancer

Targeting brain tumors with enough anti-cancer medication is no easy task. But Stefan Bossmann, professor of chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences, and his colleague Deryl Troyer at Kansas State University are developing a novel materials treatment method for persons with brain cancer that uses a type of white blood cell to deliver anticancer drugs to particularly virulent brain tumors thanks to a National Science Foundation grant.
