Hosted by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), all new international students are required to attend an in-person orientation session on August 18. Additional workshops, a resource fair, and other activities will be held throughout the week to address needs of new international students and support a successful start to your K-State experience!

Orientation for Graduate Students with Teaching Responsibilities

Graduate students who are beginning a GTA appointment or other role that involves teaching responsibilities are encouraged to attend this session, which will address GTA expectations presented by Dr. Don Saucier, Faculty Associate Director of the TLC, and support for GTAs from the Teaching and Learning Center. The session will also include a panel discussion with current GTAs to help new GTAs be successful in this role.

This session is being hosted by the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC). Please direct questions to Janvi Aggarwal (janvi@ksu.edu), GTA for the Teaching and Learning Center.

K-State Kickoff

As a new or returning student, Week of Welcome is designed to provide you with opportunities, resources, and events to ensure your success at K-State. We hope you will take the time to participate in the wide array of events and activities.

"Getting Started in Grad" Webinar Series

Making Your Move to the U.S.

Are you coming to K-State from outside the U.S.? In this session, we share guidance on how to prepare for this major move and make it as smooth as possible. You will also learn about to do tasks before you travel and upon your arrival to K-State.

Preparing for Your Assistantship

If you will be employed in an assistantship (graduate assistant, graduate teaching assistant, or graduate research assistant), we strongly encourage you to attend this session for guidance on a successful start to this role. We will also cover information on payroll and other benefits.

Enrollment, Billing, and Making Payments

This session will guide you through the process of enrolling in classes and will provide an overview of tuition and fees billing and payment processes. This session is highly recommended if you are brand new to K-State.
