Pivot Funding Opportunities Database Training
 The Pivot Funding Opportunities Database is a subscription service provided by the Office of the VP for Research.  In this session, faculty will learn how to:
  1. Use advanced search functions to find funding opportunities offered by federal agencies, foundations, private organizations, and international entities.
  2. Learn how to save funding searches and receive weekly updates for opportunities.
  3. Update faculty profiles by adding keywords to help find funding opportunities and to help find collaborators interested in similar topics.

The training lasts about 45 minutes to an hour.  Faculty can opt to stay after the session to update their profiles, if they choose.

Wednesday, Oct 2 – 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Monday, Oct 28 – 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Cancer Center Director Presentations
 The College of Arts and Sciences is excited to announce that two public presentations will be held as part of the search process for a Director of the Johnson Cancer Research Center. Dr. Sherry Fleming, Professor in the Division of Biology will give her presentation on Wednesday, October 9, from 1:30 pm – 2:15 pm in Chalmers Hall, Room 36. Dr. Stefan Bossmann, University Distinguished Profession in Chemistry, will give his presentation on Thursday, October 10, from 9:00 am – 9:45 am in Chalmers Hall, Room 36. Students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders of K-State are welcome and encouraged to attend.
