The Buildings of ArtSci: Cardwell Hall
Cardwell Hall is home to the Mathematics and Physics departments in the College of Arts & Sciences. It is also home to the James R. McDonald Laboratory, which houses a Tandem van de Graff accelerator, and atomic supercoducting linear accelerator and an EBIS source of highly ionized atoms, together with equipment for studying atomic collisions. A fully equipped planetarium permits students to view the location and movement of celestial bodies during various seasons. An astronomical observatory is located on the roof.
